Business Bay - Where To Eat Dubai
Business Bay Dubai Canal at night with restaurants and skyline
📍 Area Guide

Business Bay

Dubai's fastest-evolving dining neighbourhood. The Water Canal has created a new promenade-dining strip, and the hotel restaurants here now compete directly with anything in Downtown or DIFC.

Business Bay: The Neighbourhood That Grew Up

Five years ago, Business Bay was where you went for a hotel breakfast before heading somewhere else for dinner. Today it has a legitimate dining scene of its own. The Dubai Water Canal changed everything — suddenly there was waterfront to eat beside, and the hotel restaurants along the canal's edge responded by getting considerably better. ROKA, Bombay Brasserie, La Serre, Beau Rivage — these are not consolation-prize restaurants. They are destinations.

Business Bay benefits from being immediately adjacent to both Downtown Dubai and DIFC without quite having the premium pricing of either. You can eat at a restaurant with a direct Burj Khalifa view for AED 50 less per person than the equivalent seat in Downtown. The locals who live here have figured this out. The tourists are starting to catch on.

The insider's tip: The canal promenade between The Opus and Mama Shelter is doing for Business Bay what Marina Walk did for Dubai Marina a decade ago. Come here for a canal-side dinner on a winter evening — it's one of the most underrated dining experiences in the city.

The Best Restaurants in Business Bay

ROKA Japanese robata restaurant Business Bay Dubai

⭐ 4.8
Japanese — Robata •••• AED 400–650pp DIFC / Business Bay border

ROKA

ROKA is London's great Japanese export, and its Business Bay outpost has become one of the most reliable high-end experiences in the area. Where Zuma in DIFC is the sushi-forward power restaurant, ROKA is more robata-focused — the open charcoal grill is the star, and the results justify the premium. The Chilean sea bass in yuzu miso at AED 215 is spectacular; the ROKA platter (robata selection for two, AED 280) is the best way to understand the menu's range. The terrace with Burj Khalifa views makes this one of the best value view-restaurants in the Business Bay/DIFC corridor. The brunch on Fridays at AED 345 is outstanding.

Bombay Brasserie Taj Dubai Business Bay Indian restaurant
2
⭐ 4.7
Indian — Modern ••• AED 280–450pp Taj Dubai

Bombay Brasserie

Situated within the Taj Dubai's magnificent open-plan lobby restaurant, Bombay Brasserie brings contemporary Indian cooking with genuine warmth and substance. The open kitchen concept means you can watch the tandoor blazing and the dosas being made. The prawn Balchao at AED 125 is the opener — a Goan preparation with fierce flavour. The dal makhani at AED 75 slow-cooked overnight is the sleeper hit. And the lamb biryani at AED 165, arriving under a pastry dome at the table, is drama done with conviction. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide Burj Khalifa views in all their glory. The Friday brunches here are among Business Bay's best-kept secrets: AED 275pp with incredible spread.

Beau Rivage Bistro canal-side restaurant Business Bay Dubai
3
⭐ 4.6
Mediterranean — European ••• AED 200–350pp Dubai Water Canal

Beau Rivage Bistro

Beau Rivage occupies what might be the single best physical position in Business Bay: a long terrace stretching along the Dubai Water Canal with the water on one side and the towers reflected on the other. The Mediterranean-European menu is well-pitched: the burrata with heritage tomatoes at AED 85 is a reliable opener; the truffle pasta at AED 145 is the crowd-pleaser; and the whole sea bass en papillote at AED 195 is the dish that keeps people coming back. The venue's real strength is as a long-evening proposition — start with Aperol spritzes on the terrace at sunset, settle in for dinner, and the canal promenade does the rest of the work. Winter evenings here rank among the city's most pleasant experiences.

La Serre Bistro Boulangerie Business Bay Dubai French

⭐ 4.6
French Bistro — Bakery ••• AED 180–300pp Vida Downtown / Business Bay border

La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie

La Serre occupies a glorious glass-and-steel greenhouse-style space that feels like a botanical garden crossed with a Parisian brasserie — and the food matches the setting. The boulangerie counter at the front is one of the best in Dubai: the croissants at AED 18, the croque monsieur at AED 65, and the fruit tarts at AED 45 are all exceptional. For dinner, the foie gras with brioche at AED 145 is a proper French statement; the steak frites at AED 165 (Angus, cooked correctly, with proper pommes frites) is one of Business Bay's most satisfying plates. The interior photography is a well-known Dubai Instagram backdrop. The food actually delivers on the promise.

Rang Mahal JW Marriott Marquis Business Bay Indian restaurant
5
⭐ 4.6
Indian — Rajasthani ••• AED 250–420pp JW Marriott Marquis

Rang Mahal

Rang Mahal at the JW Marriott Marquis is one of the great Indian restaurants in Dubai — consistently mentioned by the city's Indian community as the benchmark for authentic regional cooking rather than diluted hotel-Indian. The décor pays homage to the Rajasthani havelis: hand-painted murals, carved jharokha screens, the colour and tactility of a maharajah's summer palace. The laal maas (Rajasthani red lamb curry, AED 145) is the dish this restaurant is celebrated for — a deep, complex preparation that builds heat slowly. The dal panchmel at AED 65 and the peshwari naan at AED 35 are the supporting cast you actually need. One of Business Bay's most complete dining experiences.
