Palm Jumeirah's beach clubs are not created equal. Some serve food that is genuinely worth returning for. Others serve food as an afterthought to the sunloungers and DJ sets. We have spent many Fridays and Saturdays across all of them β this is the food-first guide to the Palm's best beaches.

Drift Beach Club β One&Only The Palm
Drift is the finest beach club experience on the Palm β and possibly in all of Dubai. The adults-only private beach at One&Only The Palm is immaculate: wide, white, with loungers that are actually comfortable, parasols that actually provide shade, and attentive beach service that actually functions. But what sets Drift apart from every other beach club is the food. The beach kitchen is staffed by the same team that runs 101 Dining Lounge, and the food shows it.
The grilled sea bass (AED 195) arrives at your sunlounger cooked properly β crisp-skinned, flaking, not dried out, not undercooked. The burrata (AED 115) uses genuine buffalo mozzarella. The Club Sandwich (AED 125) is, improbably, one of the best club sandwiches in Dubai: thick-cut sourdough, properly smoked chicken, crisp pancetta. These are not beach food standards β these are restaurant standards delivered on a sunlounger twenty metres from the sea.
The best food at any Dubai beach club. Drift is what beach clubs should aspire to be β beautiful setting, genuinely good cooking, adults-only calm. Worth every dirham of the day pass.
101 Beach Club & Bar β One&Only The Palm
101 Beach Club sits at the end of a private pier extending into the Gulf at One&Only The Palm, and the views it commands β back to the Dubai Marina skyline on one side, south toward Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab on the other β are among the most spectacular at any venue in Dubai. This is more of a lounge-bar-meets-beach-experience than a dedicated beach club: sunloungers, a pool, the pier bar, and the full 101 Dining Lounge menu available.
The food quality mirrors 101 Dining Lounge β exceptional Mediterranean cooking that far exceeds beach club standards. Tuna crudo (AED 125), whole grilled fish, and the Wagyu burger (AED 145) are the day-pass orders. The bar programme is as intelligent as anywhere on the Palm: proper cocktails, an excellent wine selection, and cold beer that actually arrives cold. Sunset from the pier is one of Dubai's genuinely great moments.
The pier at sunset with a proper cocktail and a plate of tuna crudo is one of Dubai's great pleasures. Go at 5pm and stay until dark.
Wavehouse β Atlantis The Palm
Wavehouse is Atlantis's casual beach club β more accessible price point, energetic atmosphere, and a wide beach with direct access to the hotel's Aquaventure Waterpark facilities. It occupies a different market segment from Drift and 101: this is where young Dubai comes to party on Saturdays, where families splash with children, and where the DJ starts playing at noon without anyone finding it excessive.
The food is honest beach club fare β above average for the price point, below the One&Only standard. The burgers (AED 85β105) are decent. The nacho plate (AED 75) arrives hot and shareable. The pizzas (AED 95β120) are passable. Nothing reaches the heights of Drift or 101, but the value proposition β AED 150 day pass on a weekday, redeemable against food and drink β is the best on the Palm. The Friday Brunch (AED 299pp) is loud, fun, and includes access to the waterpark.
The best-value beach day on the Palm. Food is solid not spectacular, but the energy is excellent and the day pass is genuinely good value.
FIVE Beach β FIVE Palm Jumeirah
FIVE Palm Jumeirah has built a reputation for high-energy socialising that the Palm's older hotels can't match, and its beach club extends that energy into the daytime. The beach itself is well-managed β wide, with proper sunloungers and a large pool adjacent β and the atmosphere from early afternoon on a Friday is genuinely electric. The food, served from multiple outlets including the Bliss Lounge, sits above Wavehouse in quality though below Drift.
The sushi counter (AED 75β145 per roll) is the standout food option and consistently good quality. The FIVE Burger (AED 95) is a reliable order. The Mediterranean meze options (AED 55β95 per dish) are worth exploring if you want to graze throughout the day. The Friday Beach Brunch (AED 349pp) packages are popular and well-organised β you get a dedicated table, three hours of food and drink, and a scene that will either delight or overwhelm you depending on your preference.
For social energy and a fun beach day with friends, FIVE Beach delivers. The sushi counter punches above beach club weight. Not for those seeking peace and quiet.
